Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Commercial/Industrial HVAC Technician to join our team in the shop! In this role, you will be responsible for helping commercial and industrial technicians troubleshoot systems such as chillers and Dx units.
This is a contract to perm, full time role, working Monday through Friday, and pay is $25/hr to $35/hr DOE.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnosing malfunctions in chillers and DX units, identifying faulty components, and repairing or replacing parts like compressors, condensers, evaporators, and pumps.
- Adjusting chiller and DX unit settings to optimize cooling efficiency based on building load and weather conditions.
- Understanding and programming chiller and DX unit control systems to ensure proper operation and monitoring system performance.
Qualifications:
- Previous HVAC experience in commercial and industrial settings.
- Experience troubleshooting chillers and Dx units.
- Strong knowledge of compressor components, their function, and proper assembly procedures.
- Ability to perform mechanical inspections and troubleshooting.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality control and safety.
- Willingness to travel occasionally (up to three times a year).
