Overview
Sky Climber® has been designing, engineering and manufacturing suspended access equipment such as quality hoists, rigging solutions, and modular work platforms for over 60 years. We currently have opportunities a mechanical assembly technician. The duties of the mechanical assembly technician will vary, according to needs on the manufacturing floor.
Role and Responsibilities:
On a day-to-day basis, s/he will perform mechanical assembly of components and finished products. S/he will be responsible for conducting final product QC audits and testing of products assembled.
- Reading and interpreting blueprints
- Assembling mechanical components
- Using powered & unpowered hand tools to clean, assemble product
- Assisting with machine operations
- Loading and unloading materials by hand and fork truck
- Moving products to their correct storage area
- Working on your feet for extended periods of time
- Regularly lifting up to 50 pounds
- Other duties as assigned
- Occasional overtime may be required
Qualifications:
- excellent listening, teamwork and communication skills
- the ability to lift 50# on a regular basis
- forklift operations experience
- Strong leadership skills (preferred)
- Drug screen
- Background check
- MVR Check
