JOB TITLE: MID-LEVEL LOGISTICIAN
LOCATE ONSITE: Crane, Indiana at the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC)
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
SkyBridge Tactical is hiring a Mid-Level Logistician to support a contract at the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane Division. This position will support the Strategic Systems Guidance, Navigation, and Control Division (GXP). GXP’s mission is to provide electrical, electronic and mechanical design engineering, software engineering, acquisition, development, new design concepts, software and hardware platforms, production, test and evaluation, integrated logistics support, reliability, maintenance, and sustainment functions for a variety of platforms, missile systems, and test facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Contract will pull, package, and prepare equipment/material (up to 50 lbs) and generate documentation for shipment and disposal
- Track and update databases (TMDE, PCD, ERP, etc.) for inventory management, test/repair, shipment, receipt, and disposal
- Perform equipment maintenance (battery charging) as needed
- Perform acceptance testing (should be comfortable running laptops through hardware testing) as needed
- Perform functional checks (perform basic operational checks on mechanical and electronic test equipment) as needed
- Perform repair (Minor repair on laptops, mechanical and electronic test equipment) as needed
- Provide updates to process documentation for applicable tasking assigned
Additional Duties:
- Inspect, receive, handle and store portable computing devices (PCDs), coordinate with Logistics Lead, Organizational Material Administrator (OMA) and security (if applicable) on all incoming PCDs and associated material; assist with resolution of damaged and/or misdirected PCDs; apply labels to PCDs as directed
- Maintain records and logbooks for receipts; provide status reports and metrics on incoming receipts as needed
- Ensure PCDs are received in a timely manner; ensure work areas are maintained in a clean, safe and orderly manner
- Pull PCDs from storage or staging area(s) to inspect, package and ship, prepare shipment documents and packing lists, apply and/or remove labels as directed, coordinate shipments with NSLC/transportation
- Maintain records and logbooks for shipments; provide status reports and metrics on outgoing shipments as needed
- Coordinate PCDs to be excessed/disposed with Logistics Lead; inspect, pull, prepare and stage PCDs for excess/disposal; prepare documentation for PCDs to be excessed; coordinate with local property office, DLA and/or ITD to disposition PCDs
- Perform acceptance testing, repairs and battery checks on PCDs
- Perform security checks on safe as required; assist with inventory of classified hardware as required
- Update government data systems pertaining to PCDs
- Review, provide recommendations to and adhere to SOPs and instructions applicable to tasking; participate in team meetings when applicable
- ESD certification is required; classified shipments and receipts may be required; organizational, computer and communication skills required; data entry skills required; background in PHS&T desirable, background as technician (computer, electronics or mechanical) useful
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years experience in DOD logistics
- Proficient in the Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
- Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team
- Active SECRET Security Clearance
