Area Manager

Skyhawks Sports is a national youth sports leader providing a variety of programs for ages 2 to 14. With over 40 years of experience, we are committed to enriching the lives of children through sports, helping them develop skills that extend beyond the playing field.
As an Area Manager at Skyhawks Sports, you’ll oversee and grow our programs in the Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire territory. In this territory, we manage and operate in a wide range of locations. The territory stretches as far South as East Bridgewater, MA, as West as Worcester, MA, and as North as Amesbury, Peterborough NH, and everything in between.
You will foster local partnerships, recruit and manage a team of coaches, and work closely with communities to ensure that Skyhawks’ mission and values are present in every program. You will be a dynamic leader and strong communicator who can balance administrative responsibilities with field-based engagement.
What You’ll Do and the Impact You’ll Make:
- Maintain and grow year-round relationships with existing accounts, including corporate partners, school districts, recreation departments, and other community organizations.
- Collaborate with community partners to plan and execute programming across all four seasons, adapting offerings to meet the specific needs of each community.
- Recruit, hire, train, and oversee up to 75 part-time staff annually, ensuring they embody Skyhawks’ mission in all interactions.
- Manage programming, partnerships, and staff using Skyhawks’ in-house platform, maintaining a high standard for quality and safety.
- Serve as the local face of Skyhawks, representing the organization to families, community members, and partners while addressing customer inquiries and concerns.
- Implement strategic growth plans to expand the reach and impact of Skyhawks programs in the area through internal and external sales.
- Work with leadership to establish and meet seasonal and annual budgets and goals for the region.
Who You Are and What Makes You Qualified:
- Excellent time and task manager who takes initiative and is highly organized
- Experienced in management (2 years) and in building strong partnerships; sales experience (especially with long sales cycles) is a plus
- Familiar with or interested in partner account management and community outreach
- Athletic background with experience in at least one sport offered by Skyhawks; coaching experience is a plus
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and energized by working remotely
- Strategic thinker with superior communication skills (public speaking, presentation, email, text, phone) and conflict-resolution abilities
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and comfortable with technology
- Undergraduate degree preferred

Compensation and Benefits:
- : Annual base salary range of $50,000
- : 3x per year commission plan based on profit share of eligible winter, spring, and fall seasons, plus an annual performance-based bonus
- : Health, dental, and vision insurance; employer-paid life insurance, AD&D, short-term disability, and long-term disability; 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan (no company match at this time); paid parental leave
- : Generous paid time off accrual, floating holiday, and paid sick time, along with two additional paid weeks off (post-summer and between Christmas and New Year’s)
- : Mileage reimbursement for work travel.
