Job Summary:

Christiana Hospital is seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse – Operating Room (RN) to join our SurgiCenter team in Newark, DE. The selected candidate will provide high-quality perioperative nursing care and collaborate with a multidisciplinary surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Scrub and circulate for various surgical specialties, including Cysto, General, GYN, Ortho, Neuro, Plastics, and ENT.
• Deliver safe, effective, and evidence-based nursing care to surgical patients.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and surgical procedures.
• Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives and professional development.
• Provide patient and family education regarding perioperative care.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required (or commitment to obtain within 3 years of hire).
• Active RN License in Delaware or Compact State.
• Minimum 2 years of major operating room experience in a hospital setting.
• CNOR certification preferred but not required.
• Strong clinical skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced surgical environment.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
