Teacher Early Childhood Education/Preschool
The Natalie G. Heineman Smart Love Preschool is seeking a full-time Early Childhood Education/Preschool Teacher for children ages two through six years-old in Chicago’s Logan Square neighborhood.

Key Early Childhood Education/Preschool Teacher Responsibilities:
- Working professionally and collaboratively with staff in educating and caring for young children to promote their social, emotional, cognitive and physical well-being using the Smart Love® approach.
- Learning the Smart Love® approach in the classroom and through ongoing professional development.
- Implementing and supporting Smart Love curriculum, classroom preparation and maintenance, and facilitating parent partnerships in our programs.
- Organized and detailed oriented.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree with six credit hours in early childhood education with two years of teaching experience or an Associate’s degree in early childhood education with two years of teaching experience.
- Warm, friendly, creative and playful teaching style. Interested in making a commitment to learn the Smart Love® early childhood educational approach within a supportive environment.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds, carry and hold children and/or classroom equipment.
- Must have physical stamina and flexibility (walking, bending, stooping, crawling, kneeling, running, stretching, standing, sitting on floor) to participate fully with children.
