As a Medical Assistant at Smilepoint Dental Group, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations and delivering exceptional patient care. As a Medical Assistant at Smilepoint Dental Group, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth daily operations and delivering exceptional patient care. This position is ideal for candidates who are enthusiastic about both clinical and administrative responsibilities and want to contribute to a thriving, patient-centered dental practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Patient Support: Assist patients during their visit by preparing them for procedures, taking vital signs, and ensuring they are comfortable throughout their appointment.
- Clinical Assistance: Support dental providers during patient procedures, managing instruments and supplies, and assisting with non-dental medical procedures as needed.
- Medical Records & Documentation: Ensure accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical histories, progress notes, and insurance information.
- Administrative Tasks: Schedule patient appointments, answer phones, manage patient intake forms, and coordinate communication between patients and providers.
- Compliance & Safety: Maintain patient confidentiality by adhering to HIPAA standards and ensure the cleanliness and safety of all medical equipment and patient areas.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with our dental team to ensure smooth patient flow and support the clinic’s day-to-day operations.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a Medical Assistant program is preferred.
- Experience: 1 year of experience in a medical or dental setting preferred, but not required.
- Skills:
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with medical office software and basic computer applications
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality
