QC Microbiologist

• Swing shifts, or must be open to working some weekends

On behalf of our pharmaceutical client, that specializes in the development of therapeutics for patients with life threatening rare genetic diseases. We are seeking for a QC Microbiologist. Candidate will be responsible for performing environmental monitoring and microbiological testing on in-process intermediates and various stages of drug products. This work is conducted under minimal supervision and within cGMP guidelines to support the further manufacturing of commercial and clinical therapeutics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Per daily environmental monitoring sampling of GMP facilities cleanrooms and utility systems (RODI/WFI/Steam water systems and CDA/process gases).
• Examine microbial plates daily for quantification and characterization.
• Carry out general housekeeping tasks including the operation of autoclave sterilization for QC testing materials and CTE chart checks.
• Assist with the monitoring and control of laboratory media supply and critical reagent inventories.
• Ensure continuous upkeep and organization of QC GMP records.
• Participate in team huddles and department meetings, contributing ideas for laboratory infrastructure improvements and method optimization.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, or Microbiology. Hands on experience, 1-2 years of in a laboratory setting.
• Understand GLP, GMP. LIMS experience is a plus.
