Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will support lead teachers in creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment for students. This role is essential in promoting literacy education, math skills, and overall child welfare, particularly in preschool and special education settings. The Assistant Teacher will work closely with children, providing early intervention and tutoring as needed.
Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing lesson plans and educational activities.
- Support students in literacy education and math through individualized tutoring.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
- Foster a safe and supportive environment that promotes child welfare.
- Engage with preschool-aged children to facilitate their social and emotional development.
- Collaborate with special education staff to support children with diverse learning needs.
- Participate in early intervention strategies to help children reach their developmental milestones.
- Maintain open communication with parents regarding student progress and classroom activities.
Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must have complete GED or HS Diploma
CPR required within 90 days of start date
- Experience or coursework in early childhood education, special education, or related fields is preferred.
- Knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies for classroom management.
- Familiarity with literacy education practices and math instruction for young learners.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with children, parents, and staff.
- A passion for educating young children and supporting their developmental needs.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
