Job Description
This position will report to a Principal or designee level staff member. You will be involved in projects that may include:
- Forensic investigations of structural failures
- Qualification and testing of buildings, structures, equipment and systems for a variety of loads
- Design, development and rollout of field and laboratory systems, structures and equipment
- Instrumentation, data acquisition and analysis of equipment and structures
- Advanced analysis of equipment, systems and structures using finite element codes
- Materials engineering and evaluations
- Peer reviews
- Evaluation and repair of existing structures
- Dispute resolution including assistance with expert witness assignments
- Perform all other duties as assigned by your supervisor or manager
- Minimum Master’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Aero/Astro, Nuclear, or Structural Engineering
- Familiarity with structural dynamics and structural analysis preferred
- Structural design experience preferred
- Strong written and verbal communications skills, with ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Ability to pass background and drug screenings to obtain security clearances
- Ability to travel to customer or project sites (light travel required)
