What are the responsibilities and job description for the Systems Analyst position at Solid Waste Authority of Palm Beach County?
The position is responsible for the end-to-end deployment of hardware and software solutions for the Solid Waste Authority’s (SWA) information technology needs. Emphasis will be on researching, recommending, implementing and documenting solutions to solve a variety of networking and security needs within the Authority's information systems environment. Extensive knowledge of, and three or more years’ experience implementing, administering and advanced troubleshooting various systems involving Microsoft Client and Server products including: Microsoft Configuration Manager, WSUS, Azure, Active Directory and Microsoft 365. Data protection technologies including end point protection with EDR, system backups, DLP, virus/SPAM/malware/etc., Network prevention technologies and security controls including Network Access Control (NAC), Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) and vulnerability management. Cybersecurity methodologies including Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) concepts, practices, and procedures. The Systems Analyst reports to the Client Server Technology Manager in the Information Technology (IT) department.
