Description
An exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer III with a well-established, multi-office consulting engineering firm known for industry leadership. This role requires independent judgment and discretion in managing specific tasks and responsibilities. The successful candidate will work both independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision.
We are seeking a Project Engineer with over 5 years of experience in overhead and underground distribution design.
Responsibilities :
- Design, stake, and coordinate overhead and underground distribution projects in compliance with NESC, RUS, and other relevant standards, specifications, and codes.
- Conduct peer and final reviews of distribution designs completed by others to ensure adherence to all applicable standards, specifications, and codes.
- Seal distribution line designs created by yourself and others.
- Coordinate the design and construction of distribution line projects with customers and other involved utilities.
- Assist customers in acquiring necessary easements, encroachments, and permits.
- Provide design support by preparing draft reports, calculations, details, plans, and specifications.
- Prepare scheduling, planning, designing, permitting, and construction documents.
- Ensure that all work meets safety and quality standards, codes, and specifications, as well as set schedules and deadlines.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve issues as early as possible in the project.
- Provide timely and accurate updates on progress, reviews, observations, solutions, and other project-related information in an understandable format.
- Conduct field observations and prepare relevant field reports.
