POSITION TITLE: Medical Assistant
DEPARTMENT: Clinical
REPORTS TO: Operations Manager

PROFESSIONAL SUMMARY
Responsible for assisting Doctors and Midlevel’s in a busy ENT office providing care to their patients. Their duties include recording and updating medical histories and contact information in patient charts, and scheduling patient appointments.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Triage patient and records patient medical history and specific information associated for visit.
2. Prepares patient for examination by performing and recording initial vitals such as blood pressure, temperature, weight.
3. Reports irregular indicators or adverse reactions to physician.
4. Clean and prepare exam and treatment rooms.
5. Organize and maintain supplies and equipment for treatments, sterilizing instruments as needed.
6. Assists physicians and Mid-levels with physical examination and treatments and performs surgical preps and simple dressing changes.
7. Maintains patient medical records and provide to provide for treatment.
8. Enters physician orders for tests, procedures, etc. into computer system. Schedule tests and treatments, as ordered by the physician.
9. Maintains a clean, neat, and safe environment. Activities may include but are not limited to tidying room, cleaning equipment, changing bed linens, restocking work areas, keeping rooms and hallways clear of debris, emptying trash, cleaning cabinet surfaces, and completing discharge room cleans.
10. Schedule surgeries as needed.
11. Cross train in other departments in the office.
12. Other duties assigned by the Operations Manager or Physicians.
REQUIRED LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION
1. Graduate of Medical Assistant program or Military Hospital Corpsman.
2. Current BLS card (CPR)
3. Certified or Registered Medical Assistant
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
- EMR systems: 1 year (Preferred)
- Vital signs: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- BLS Certification (Preferred)
- Certified Medical Assistant (Preferred)
