Live Out Nanny/Family Assistant
Downtown Manhattan and Summers in Southampton
Compensation: $90K-$120K – no benefits 2 weeks PTO in 1st yr
Monday – Friday 10am – 7pm with flexibility for occasional weeknights and travel during the year
Family of four based in downtown Manhattan. Seeking an experienced, nurturing and active Nanny/Family Assistant to provide childcare and household support. This role involves caring for two young children and helping maintain an organized and well-stocked home while the children are in school. Energetic, nurturing yet firm and be able to multitask. This is a year-round position, with 3 months of working in the Hamptons over the summer, as well as occasional travel for family vacations and events.
Responsibilities:
- Childcare & Supervision: Provide attentive and nurturing care for two children ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. Taking children to after school activities and playdates.
- Educational Support: Facilitate educational activities, assist with homework, and create engaging experiences for children across different age groups.
- Household Assistance: Assist with light household tasks such as helping with children’s laundry, making beds, assisting with keeping the children’s rooms and play spaces tidy, light cooking and meal prep for the children, pantry, food and supplies inventory management, running errands for the principals such as grocery shopping, store returns, opening packages and purchasing and wrapping presents.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Proven experience working in a Nanny or Au Pair role for at least 5 years.
- Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities, with exceptional patience and the capacity to manage multiple children's schedules and needs.
- CPR and First Aid Certification
- Background: A university curriculum focus in Child Psychology, Early Childhood Development and Education is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Flexibility: Must be highly adaptable with the ability to adjust to changing schedules and responsibilities, including travel and relocation to the Hamptons for the summer.
- Travel Ready: Willingness to travel as needed for vacations, events, or other personal trips.
