I am currently partnered with one of the premier sports and entertainment enterprises in the world to assist them in staffing their rapidly expanding technology organization. I am recruiting for a Site Reliability Engineer to join a world-class infrastructure team. You will have the opportunity to build upon one of the leading sports and entertainment platforms in the world.

As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will support massive amounts of data across everything from sports, content, marketing, ticketing, TV, finance, media, etc. The business is amid tremendous growth and looking to expand its already expansive consumer base, putting a huge emphasis on data, uptime, high availability, and disaster recovery while driving new marketing initiatives, greater brand partnerships, and building an even more massive, unified platform. Role & Responsibilities:

• Deliver on high-traffic, large-scale global platforms encompassing everything from content to media to on-demand services.
• Work with a team to ensure uptime, high availability, and disaster recovery.
• Provide support for incident response.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure the availability, security, and integrity of services.
• Create dashboards and reports to visualize database performance and health.
• Develop monitoring and alerting tools to detect error conditions, degradation symptoms, and outages.
• Identify SLIs and SLOs, implement observability tooling, and optimize for cost control.
• Support and debug production issues across services and all levels of the stack.
• Identify automation and self-service opportunities for infrastructure and database operational tasks.
• Lead and take ownership of critical projects and initiatives.
• Collaborate with a team of extraordinary engineers and technologists.

Skills & Experience Needed:

• 5 years of site reliability engineering experience.
• Strong SRE and DevOps principles with the ability to convey technical information to various levels of an organization.
• Experience in automation, alerting, and remediation with a passion for reducing toil.
• Expert cloud services experience – GCP, AWS, or Oracle Cloud.
• Proficiency with Terraform, Git, CI/CD.
• Experience with real-time log and event monitoring tools, such as DataDog, Cloud Logging, and Splunk.
• Prior experience running mission-critical, transactional, and analytic datastores and pipelines (e.g., Oracle, Postgres, Mongo, BigQuery, Kafka, Airflow).
• Linux experience, scripting skills.
• Programming experience with Go, Python, Bash, Java, or JavaScript.
• Ability to write code in a compiled language that runs in production.
• Ability to work non-standard shifts, including nights and/or weekends, and on-call responsibilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Math, or a related field.
