Actuarial Analyst II
We are seeking an experienced Actuarial Analyst II to apply actuarial methodologies and provide technical expertise on structured projects. This role involves developing analytical tools, improving processes, and delivering insights to support business decisions.
📍 Location: Hybrid – Requires 4 days in the office per week. Available in San Antonio, TX, Plano, TX, Phoenix, AZ, Colorado Springs, CO, Charlotte, NC, or Tampa, FL.

Key Responsibilities:
- Apply actuarial methodologies to complete structured projects, such as:
- Developing tools to enhance actuarial accuracy.
- Implementing new rating algorithms.
- Analyzing results to propose reserve selections.
- Identify and improve existing processes using actuarial, mathematical, and statistical techniques.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and escalate when necessary.
- Create training materials and documentation for actuarial tools and processes.
- Mentor new team members.
- Provide actionable insights to address business challenges.
- Communicate findings effectively to both actuarial and non-actuarial stakeholders.
- Ensure risk and compliance policies are followed.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree OR 4 years of relevant actuarial, business, or analytical experience in place of a degree.
- 2 years of actuarial or analytical business experience.
- Completion of 3 Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) exams.
- Experience with actuarial, mathematical, and statistical techniques.
- Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, SAS, BI tools, and other analysis software.
- Ability to connect technical insights to business challenges.
Preferred:
- Strong communication skills for both actuarial and non-actuarial audiences.
- Experience in personal or specialty lines pricing.
- Military service or military spouse/domestic partner background.
