Sound Pain Alliance is seeking an experienced and compassionate Psychologist to join Washington's largest private practice pain management specialty group. Sound Pain Alliance mission is to relieve pain and restore hope. We do this by treating the whole person using a multi-disciplinary approach. Our psychologists focus on the mental, emotional, and behavioral health of a variety of chronic pain patients.
A Sound Pain Alliance Psychology team member will be responsible for conducting initial intakes and providing ongoing individual psychotherapy and group psychotherapy, as necessary. Treatment plans are based on a foundation of cognitive behavioral therapy techniques and individualized for each patient.
Psychology Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Conduct initial Diagnostic Interview / Intake
  • Develop treatment plans to reduce pain interference with daily living and improve overall functioning / engagement with life
  • Collaborate with patients and other Sound Pain Alliance providers to determine effectiveness of treatment and make adjustments when necessary
  • Work with individuals on related psychological issues (e.g., trauma history) as indicated
  • Run psychotherapy groups as necessary
Psychologist Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Doctorate degree in Psychology (Ph.D. or Psych. D.) (Preferred)
  • Master's Degree
  • 2 years of clinical experience a plus
  • Pain Psychology experience a plus
  • Current WA state license to practice
  • Telehealth experience
