Under the direction of the Janitorial supervisor, we are looking for a Janitorial Technician who will be responsible for performing janitorial duties for Sound’s office and residential locations.
KEY WORK RELATIONSHIPS
Team Members in this role will establish and maintain positive, ethical, and professional working relationships with the Facilities team, Sound management and team members, clients, tenants, architects, contractors, inspectors, vendors, and other professionals.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES
- Basic and deep cleaning including but not limited to:
- Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping, sanitizing all areas of Sound locations.
- Emptying all trash cans and replacing liners
- Dusting and cleaning office desks and furniture that are not cluttered.
- Cleaning windowsills and windows.
- Maintaining janitor closets in a clean, organized and safe manner.
- Maintaining janitorial equipment in a clean, safe and operable condition.
- Wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment at all times.
- Adhering to OSHA standards in relation to the proper use of chemicals and equipment involved in the day-to-day completion of custodial cleaning tasks.
- Completing other routine maintenance duties as assigned.

Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- A minimum of high school diploma or its equivalent.
- A minimum of two years working experience in a custodial service based Job with experience in custodial cleaning practices.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Stand for long periods of time.
- Walk or run for long periods of time.
- Use their hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
- Repeat the same movements.
- Bend or twist their body.
- Regular attendance is an essential function of the Job.
