Social Emotional Learning Technician

Social Emotional Learning Technician- South Elementary This Title I grant funded position is for the remainder of the 2024-2025 school year. Start Date: February 3, 2024 Hourly rate pay starting at $45/hour (6.5 hours per day); negotiable based on education and experience. Essential Function: The Social Emotional Learning (SEL) Technician for elementary school will assist students with accessing academic learning by providing strategic services that identify and address the social and emotional barriers that interfere with the educational process. The Elementary SEL Technician will implement strategies and provide instruction that promote students’ positive school adjustment to enhance students’ social emotional development. Job Duties: ● Within a MTSS Framework, implement Tier 1, 2, & 3 social-emotional learning Instruction and Interventions; including skill groups which may focus on: self awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, responsible decision-making, school readiness, and/or academic readiness. ● Follow intervention plans based on student needs, monitor progress, and collaborate with the student’s team to make plan adjustments ● Collaborate with the SEL team and other stakeholders to identify social emotional challenges and promote student learning ● Communicate with parents/guardians ● Participate in building- based meetings ● Collect and analyze data ● Maintain the confidentiality of schools, classrooms, teachers, and students ● Plan and attend Title I family engagement evening events ● Perform other duties and responsibilities related to SEL as assigned by building Principal and/or Director of Title I
