MARKETING SPECIALIST JOB DESCRIPTION 

OVERVIEW: The Marketing Specialist responsibilities include: increase brand awareness, drive traffic to website and generate leads through the use of social media outlets and email platforms. This position will be responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring our social media strategy across multiple channels for OWYG and RYC at the direction of the Marketing Manager. This position will design and implement social media content & strategies to align with the business goals. 

Reports To: Marketing Manager

KEY TASKS for OneWater Yacht Group and Roscioli Yachting Center

Social Media:

· Develop, coordinate, implement and evaluate a social media calendar and plan for each profile and channel being used in social media.

· Generate, edit, publish, and share engaging content 3-4 times per week. (25% more for Sunseeker).

· Respond and engage with customer comments.

· Analyze the social media strategies and identifying strategic weaknesses and making recommendations for improvements.

· Responsible for content photography and archiving. This includes events, social media content and assistance to brokers with listings as needed.

· Research social media trends and make recommendations for changes that are relevant to marketing activities. 

· Monitor responses and engagement on social media as well as respond and react in a timely and appropriate manner that represents the business holding the account in accordance with company policy. 

· Define the most important KPIs for tracking social media performance and provide bi-monthly reporting to the Marketing Manager.

· Utilize social media tools, such as Hootsuite & Canva in posting, monitoring, and evaluating performance.

· Collaborate with other sales & service team members for developing content and materials to support social media plans.

· Find ways to engage with key members of the boating community and related industries/area on social media that provide benefit to our company.

· Keep up to date on the latest social media policies, best practices, technologies and advancements.

· Assist brokers with social media tips and training.

Email

· Create and launch OWYG eblasts each month which include: new brokerage every 10 days, new listings, branding, events and lifestyle.

· Create and launch RYC eblasts each month showcasing a service and a meet the team member article. 

· Work with the dockmaster on getting regular photography and content with approval of the Director. 

· Export email lists from Lightspeed and update Constant Contant on a weekly basis

Digital 

· Maintain all OWYG / RYC Google Business profiles.

· Respond to all OWYG/ RYC Google reviews.

· Conduct a weekly web audit of brokerage listings and website in general.

Business Support / Networking 

· Support Marketing Manager with local events and boat shows.

· Support all OWYG sales managers with marketing tasks as needed.

· Responsible for ordering new broker on-boarding kits: name tags, shirts, business cards and brokerage boards.

Skills and requirements:

  • 3 years experience in managing social media channels. 
  • Excellent photography skills and experience.
  • Knowledge of photography techniques
  • Ability to stand or crouch for hours during photoshoots
  • Proficiency with photo editing software and camera equipment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to simultaneously manage multiple complex projects.
  • Presentation skills for audiences at all levels.
  • Strong creative and innovative problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work well under tight deadlines and pressure.
  • Able to take creative direction, collaborate and communicate with marketing, sales, and other departments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent knowledge of social media channels (YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter)
  • Good knowledge of creative tools such as Canva for developing content
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or relevant field preferred
  • Portfolio required
