Southdale Pediatrics is an independent group of Pediatricians and Allergists, caring for children since 1948. Our mission is to enhance and maintain the welfare of our patients by providing high-quality medical services, and delivering clinical excellence and outstanding customer service in a warm, welcoming environment.
We seek a full-time Patient Services Supervisor for our Eden Prairie clinic. The schedule will include primarily day shifts from 8am-5pm, occasional evening hours until 8pm, and a Saturday morning monthly rotation from 8am-12pm. Occasional travel to our Burnsville and Edina clinic sites is likely.
Our Patient Services team is responsible for ensuring a smooth and positive experience for patients and families as they navigate through their visit including: registration, appointment scheduling, reception, and medical records requests. The Patient Services Supervisor ensures day to day operations in the department including: supervision of staff, training, and adequate staffing.
Patient Service Representative Responsibilities:
- Supervise the daily activity in the department ensuring high-level customer service and appropriate staffing coverage
- Assist in the training and ensure up-to-date competency of staff
- First point of contact for staff to assist with mitigating patient concerns
- Assist dept. manager with retention efforts and annual evaluations
- Assist dept. manager in identifying and remedying operational inefficiencies and process improvement opportunities
- Is subject matter expert of our practice management and patient medical records system
- Works alongside staff in day-to-day functions of patient registration and account set-up, appointment scheduling, front desk reception, and medical records
- Maintains strict confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and other dept. policies and regulations
Patient Service Representative Qualifications:
- Minimum of four years' experience in customer service setting, preferably two years administrative experience in health care setting
- Past supervisory/leadership experience is preferred
- Knowledge of light HR functions such as mediating workplace conflicts and motivating staff
- Proven customer service and communication skills
- Ability to remain calm and work efficiently in a busy, fast-paced clinic
- High level of computer acumen is required
Education:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Associates degree preferred
