Position Overview
The Regional Manager, Commercial Services is responsible for leading teams that service portfolios of high-end commercial properties across the metroplex. With up to 7 direct reports, the Regional Manager displays the leadership capability to manage other managers while creating a professional and cordial culture. The team’s goal is to deliver The Green Standard to all clients along with flawless customer service.
This leader will manage multiple multi-million-dollar divisions and as such, must be familiar with all aspects of business management including client service, financial management, strategic planning, sales, operations, and talent development.
The Regional Manager, Commercial Services reports to the Vice President of Operations and will office at our beautiful office at I-35 and Mockingbird in Dallas with frequent visits to client sites.
Responsibilities
Leadership
• Drive accountability to ensure the team meets or exceeds goals.
• Lead weekly meetings to increase performance, teamwork, and collaboration.
• Attend the annual leadership retreat and participate in strategic discussions including 5-year planning.
• Cultivate a positive and collaborative regional and branch culture.
• Recruit, select, train, develop, and retain top talent.
• Conduct weekly one-on-ones with all direct reports.
• Ensure employee performance evaluations are timely and thorough.
• Create a work environment where people want to work.
Financial Management
• Achieve or exceed budgeted regional sales, profitability, production, and cash flow goals.
• Prepare the regional operating budget, including the sales and growth plan and capital budget.
• Prepare and deliver a comprehensive regional report at the monthly finance meeting.
Client Relationship Management
• Achieve industry leading client retention while leveraging existing relationships for growth.
• Conduct regular property visits to inspect service quality, as well as maintain direct relationships with top clients.
• Enlist feedback and implement operational changes that respond to the clients’ observations.
• Assist with problem resolution as needed and effectively manage client concerns.
• Oversee accounts receivable for the region.
Operational Effectiveness
• Collaborate with the management team to enhance systems, drive process improvement, and develop talent to accommodate the rapid growth objectives of our organization.
• Strategize client relationships to achieve industry leading retention rates and grow recurring revenue.
• Monitor all categories of direct and indirect labor, job cost reports, and crew scheduling, continually working towards improvement.
• Ensure quality care and maintenance of our assets and tools.
Sales
• Set sales goals and pacing plans for the region including contract maintenance, enhancements, agronomy, and irrigation service lines.
• Focus business development team on high-priority prospects and assist in closing deals as needed.
• Review and approve contract maintenance estimates and proposals.
• Closely monitor cancelations and engage clients in exit interviews as needed.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in business, horticulture, or related studies
• 10 years of leadership experience in a mid-sized or large landscape, irrigation, or related company
• Proven success in managing multi-million-dollar budgets
• Valid Texas driver’s license
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Aspire, Acumatica, and SmartLink preferred
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Bilingual in Spanish & English preferred

Physical Demands
Must be able to lift/carry materials up to 50 lbs, move about the work site, communicate efficiently and effectively on the telephone or in person, and complete required paperwork. Exposure to dust, pollen, chemicals, cold, and heat in an external environment. Requires extended periods of walking, standing, kneeling, bending, and lifting. Local travel to the field more than 50% of the time and occasional overnight travel is required.
Working Conditions
This role includes external environment dealing with all weather and terrain exposure. Safety equipment includes, but is not limited to hard hats, gloves, earplugs, safety vest and safety glasses. This position requires the ability to work during inclement weather events.
