Position Summary: We are seeking candidates for an Outside Sales position located in Americus, GA. This is a full-time position with a growing company that treats their employees very well. This position is responsible for helping to formulate sales plans and actively implementing them, in our multi-state sales territory, within a 300-mile radius of Americus, GA. This person will effectively sell flat glass products to our customers by demonstrating professionalism, enthusiasm, and positive customer interaction, while focusing on Southern Wholesale Glass’ commitment to meeting and exceeding customer expectations. We are looking for someone to contribute new ideas and achieve sales expectations designed to fully meet our current customers’ needs and expand our customer base. They will regularly work with the sales, support, and production teams to ensure industry- leading sales and service, revenue generation, and long-term account goals in line with our company’s vision and values. Extensive automobile travel and overnight stays are required throughout the sales region. A company vehicle and fuel card will be provided. This position comes with a competitive salary but is not commission based. Thorough training will occur at our Americus facility prior to going out on the road. Essential Functions: * Must live within a 300-mile radius of Americus, GA. * Demonstrate an unwavering commitment to meet customer expectations and ensure customers are satisfied. * Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of products and services and works with customer to identify their needs and address customer questions. * Should be able to read plans and schematics for bidding purposes. * Maintain high activity standards (prospecting for new customers, daily calls, set and have appointments each week, etc.) * Present our products and services with expert knowledge and understanding. * Sales proposal development and presentation. * Meet and exceed monthly revenue quotas. * Ideal candidates should have the ability to read basic plans/drawings, quickly do basic math, and be a solid written and verbal communicator. * Create effective follow up procedures by using in person, phone, and email approach to manage and organize territory. * Perform other work-related duties as assigned. Qualifications: * High school diploma or GED required. Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred. * Experience in outside sales. * Must have a strong drive to succeed! * Proficient in MS Office or Google Workspace software – email, word, excel, etc. * Must maintain a valid driver’s license. * Previous experience in the glass industry is a plus but not required. * Exceptional interpersonal and organizational skills * Effective communication/comprehension skills-verbal and written. * Ability to function independently and multitask.
