Summary:
Teller is responsible for accurately and efficiently process and record routine transactions for SouthPoint Bank customers including cashing checks, accepting deposits and withdrawals, processing loan payments and money transfers. Promote and advise on the bank's products and services.
Teller essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Complies with all of the requirements of the Bank Secrecy Act, USA Patriot Act, OFAC, and other related regulations as they pertain to the job.
- Understand and practice established security controls to include branch opening and closing procedures, robbery procedures and dual control.
- Maintain complete confidentiality of all customer information and security procedures.
- Identify customers with a friendly and courteous manner.
- Make every effort to reduce losses to the bank by adhering to policies and regulations at all times.
- Efficiently and accurately process deposits, cash checks, check orders/reorders, currency and coin orders, loan payments and all other related customer transactions. Begin to balance consistently, with few errors.
- Familiar with Client Service Specialist Manual and use it as a reference guide.
- Answer the telephone promptly, professionally and courteously. Take accurate and complete messages.
- Develop a comprehensive knowledge of products and services offered. Continue to improve referral skills and cross-sell techniques.
- Scan all signature cards and supporting documents as well as ensuring signature cards are captured electronically are properly indexed.
- Complete money shipments to/from the Federal Reserve and Loomis service, and complete necessary forms.
- Maintain, replenish, and balance ATM when necessary.
- Prepares large currency transaction reports and is knowledgeable of the regulations.
- Serve as backup to when necessary to assist customers with opening accounts and any other issues.
- Assist with various branch duties as instructed by supervisor
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
