Southwest Behavioral Health Services is Hiring a Program Coordinator Near Buckeye, AZ

Southwest Behavioral & Health Services is seeking a seeking a Program Coordinator to join our Buckeye Outpatient Clinic Family! This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday. The primary tasks of the Program Coordinator are to support the Program Director in management duties. This includes supervision of staff, growth of programs, management of program budget, and clinical development of services. This position manages day to day program operations, productivity standards, and fulfillment of contract requirements. Provides coordination and supervision for administration and program services related to behavioral health prevention for children, adults, families, or local communities.

About the Position

As Program Coordinator, you are responsible for the coordination and development of program and staff supporting the needs of consumers diagnosed with general mental health and possible co-occurring substance abuse issues. This position manages day to day program operations, productivity standards, and fulfillment of contract requirements. The Program Coordinator will hire, train and develop staff; review and evaluate treatment plans for content and timeliness of documentation; and intervene in crisis situations as needed to ensure the safety and well-being of consumers and staff. This position also develops relationships with community resources and expands opportunities for the coordination of services to consumers transitioning from the program.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Support the Program Director in management duties including supervision of staff, growth of programs, management of program budget, and clinical development of services.
  • Conducts probationary and annual performance appraisals in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Recruits, trains, and supervises staff and interns for the program.
  • Creates and maintains an open, collaborative professional working environment with staff.
  • Provides timely, effective, and consistent performance feedback to staff.
  • Regularly reviews and monitors clinical data, documentation and clinical outcomes.
  • Monitors service delivery, identifying and working with staff to resolve barriers to treatment
  • Works with staff to develop program curricula.
  • Creates and maintains a recovery-based environment for all services and service participants.
  • Provides ongoing training and support to staff and performs consultation/education activities as appropriate.
  • Performs routine and timely chart audits for each therapist and ensures timely chart closures.
  • Monitors timeliness reports, quality and content of documentation.
  • Acts as a liaison between program staff and funding/referral sources

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum requirement consists of a 21-year age
  • Requires Master’s degree in the behavioral health or related field (psychology, social work, behavioral health education) with a minimum of two years behavioral health experience.
  • Minimum 1 year of leadership or supervisory experience in clinical programs required.
  • Licensed by the Board of Behavioral Health examiners at the Independent Level (LPC, LCSW, LISAC, LMFT) required.
  • Must have fingerprint clearance issued by Arizona Department of Public Safety or eligible to receive within eight (8) weeks of hire (for sites serving children)

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred
