What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager of Operations - Madison County position at Southwestern Electric Cooperative Inc.?

As our Madison County Manager of Operations, you'll play a pivotal in ensuring the reliability of our electric service, maintaining member satisfaction, and upholding our safety and operational standards.
Essential Duties:
- Schedule jobs and supervise line crews, contractors, and warehousemen in Madison County.
- Address member issues and inquiries.
- Work closely with the engineering department on all jobs and substation maintenance.
- Review completed work orders for accuracy.
- Champion safety through weekly safety chats, periodic field audits and serving on the Safety Committee.
Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- A valid Illinois Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required.
- Extensive knowledge of electric distribution and transmission system construction, operations, and maintenance, including a thorough knowledge and understanding of Rural Utility Services (RUS) construction design specifications and the National Electric Safety Codes. Previous experience as a journeyman lineman is desired.
- Strong leadership skills and experience in managing people and/or projects required.
- Skilled at effectively planning and scheduling construction, operations, and maintenance work.
