What are the responsibilities and job description for the Finance Specialist I position at Southwestern National Bank?
PRIMARY ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Responsible for all activities in the accounts payable function.
· Ensure timely payments of vendor invoices and maintain accurate records and control reports.
· Review applicable contracts, accounting reports and accounts payable register to ensure accuracy.
· Work closely with Controller on day-to-day responsibilities and developed to take on additional responsibilities.
· Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment.
· Post invoices into Ascend BankTel.
· Research vendor statements, phone calls and discrepancies.
· Prepare analysis of accounts, as required.
· File invoices and maintain records.
· Generate accounts payable checks and verify accuracy prior to mailing.
· Perform other general duties, such as copying, scanning, and/or mailing checks.
· Prepare special analysis and complete projects as requested.
· Prepare daily/monthly bank accounts, and GL reconciliations related to Accounting/Finance.
