What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Southwood Realty?
Southwood Realty is seeking a reliable Maintenance Technician for Groves at Town Center in Fletcher, NC. The Maintenance Technician will work alongside the Maintenance Supervisor and Property Manager to maintain efficient operation and upkeep of the property, buildings, and grounds in a supportive role.
Duties and Responsibilities: Conducts all business in accordance with company policies and procedures, Fair Housing, Americans with Disabilities Act, Fair Credit Reporting Act, and all other laws pertaining to apartments.
➢ Responsible for the daily repair and upkeep of the property, including completing service requests, preparing vacant units for occupancy, and maintaining the grounds.
➢ Responsible for maintaining the required property uniform and insuring a professional appearance and attitude at all times.
➢ Possess thorough knowledge of community and management company rules and policies, as well as how to document and report violations to management.
➢ Be aware of and operate within OSHA (Occupational Safety & Health Act) standards and company safety policies at all times.
➢ Responsible for the care, maintenance and cleaning of all supplies, equipment, and work areas owned by the property and/or the management company.
➢ Responsible for the supply and upkeep of all personal tools required by Southwood Realty for Service Technician.
➢ Performs additional duties as assigned by the Property Manager.
➢ On-call nights/weekends will be required once qualified. We have a rotation of 4 maintenance technicians that rotate weekly so this would be a responsibility monthly.
Qualifications:
➢ Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, interior/exterior repairs, janitorial, painting/drywall, appliances, etc.
➢ CPO or CFC certifications a plus, but not required.
➢ Reliable transportation with a valid driver's license is a MUST.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
