What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mountain Operations Groomer position at Spanish Peaks Mountain Club?

The Mountain Operations Groomer, under the direction of the Director of Mountain Operations, and Mountain Operations Manager, this position operates all snow cats for daily grooming of Nordic and member access trails on property. This person also helps with the snow cat dinners and any other custom grooming on Spanish Peaks Property.
Essential functions:
- Has proper knowledge and skills to operate our snow groomers efficiently.
- Fills out our grooming log book daily and reports grooming conditions to the appropriate person.
- Maintains fuel and fluid levels for all types of equipment on a daily basis; reports equipment problems or failure to the equipment manager immediately.
- Returns all equipment to the designated location at the maintenance facility; and is responsible for following the SOP with regards to cleaning of equipment.
- Working with Mountain operations team in helping with snowcat driving for snowcat dinners.
- Be able to lift at least 50lbs
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of safe, efficient mechanical operation of all heavy equipment.
- Working knowledge of large equipment operation.
- Ability to follow oral and written directions.
- Ability to notify supervisor of grooming conditions or concerns daily.
- Knowledge methods and materials used in grooming operations.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Following company safety policies as pertained to large machinery.
- Follows our departmental uniform policy while at work.
- Be able to lift light to moderate equipment, at least 50lbs.
- Possession and maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Follows the LMLC handbook
