Job Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Animal Technician to join our team. As an Animal Technician, you will be responsible for providing care and support to cats and dogs in our facility. This is a hands-on role that requires knowledge of animal care and able to follow safety protocols, veterinary terminology, and animal handling techniques. Duties: - Perform daily tasks related to animal care, including feeding, watering, walking dogs, behavior enrichment and cleaning of animal enclosures - Monitor the health and well-being of animals, reporting any abnormalities or concerns to the appropriate supervisor - Administer medications and treatments as directed - Assist with medical procedures - Maintain accurate records of animal health, behavior, and treatments - Ensure that all equipment and supplies are properly cleaned and sterilized - Must have drivers license- Provide support during veterinary procedures and surgeries - Conduct behavioral assessments and enrichment activities for animals - Work in a team environment
Experience: - Previous experience working with animals in a professional setting, such as a veterinary clinic or animal shelter - Knowledge of veterinary terminology and basic animal physiology - Familiarity with aseptic technique and proper handling of animals in a clinical setting - Experience working with a variety of species, especially small animals, is a plus - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail -ability to multitask - Veterinarian Tech License a plus - Free Free Certified encouraged.
