Customer Service Representative
DESCRIPTION
The Customer Service Representative (CSR) is responsible for processing orders received by telephone, fax, or email or personally from customers. Interacting with customers to provide and process information in response to inquiries, concerns, and requests about products and services.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION:
- Build sustainable relationships and trust with customer accounts through open and interactive communication.
- Resolves product or service problems by investigating the customer’s complaint, determining the cause of the problem, selecting, and explaining the best solution for the problem, expediting correction or adjustment, and following up to ensure resolution and customer satisfaction.
- Builds relationships with production, warehouse, or common carrier personnel.
- Act as a liaison with other departments and outside agencies, including high-level staff. Handles confidential and non-routine information.
- Other duties as required.
REQUIREMENTS
- HS education with 5 years of customer service experience.
- Ability to stay calm when customers are upset.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Hands-on experience in data collection
- Ability to work effectively and independently without constant supervision.
REPORTING
This position reports to the Plant Manager.
