We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing support in various accounting functions. Responsibilities
- Maintain and update financial records, including accounts payable and receivable.
- Perform bank reconciliation to ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and assist in the preparation of financial statements.
- Manage general ledger accounting and ensure all transactions are recorded accurately.
- Assist with budgeting processes and provide insights on financial performance.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) in all accounting practices.
- Support public accounting tasks as needed, including audits and tax preparation.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather necessary financial information for reporting purposes.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role within an accounting environment.
- Strong knowledge of technical accounting concepts and practices.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with budgeting, balance sheet reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and general ledger accounting.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong analytical skills with a commitment to accuracy in financial reporting.
- A degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred but not required.
