Prevention Presenter
This role performs as a major mental health and ATOD prevention educator within the catchment area. Travel will be required within this area. This position is located in Dale County, Alabama
Monday - Thursday 8:00am - 5:30pm; Friday 8am - 12pm
Responsibilities:
- Conducting research on applicable topics
- Serve as an operational liaison between the Center and the community
- Some travel is required within the catchment area
- Developing and presenting programs to update the targeted population
Requirements:
- BS degree in a human services related field and 1 year experience in substance abuse including the following:
- 2,000 hours in substance abuse prevention
- 100 hours of prevention education training including 4 hours of Prevention specific HIV/Aids education, 6 hours of prevention specific ethics and 4 hours of Managing a Disruptive Audience Behavior and a minimum of 120 hours of supervised practical experience with at least 10 of the following:
- Individual/Peer
- Family
- Community
- School
- Must have a signed code of ethics form with evaluations from supervisors or colleagues
OR
- The Prevention Director provides general supervision of the person with a minimum of 2 hours direct supervision each month
