What are the responsibilities and job description for the Machine Operator Metals position at Spectrum Industries Inc?
Description
1st Shift: Monday - Thursday
6:00am - 4:00pm
Spectrum Industries, Inc. is looking for a new team member to operate a variety of multiple conventional, production machines and/ or equipment at specified machining centers to fabricate sheet metal or metal tubing products, parts, and components.
- Performs minor setup and adjustment functions on the machines
- Stops machines to remove finished work pieces, or to change tooling, setup, or work piece placement, according to required machining sequences
- Interprets blueprints, drawings, manuals, routing sheet specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work piece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements
- Measures dimensions of finished work pieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures
- Records and submits accurate work time and job functions on daily time documents and routing sheets
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Six months to one year of related work experience
- OR equivalent combination of education and experience
