What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipper/ Receiver position at Spectrum Industries Inc?
Description
1st Shift: Monday - Thursday
6:00am - 4:00pm
Spectrum Industries, Inc. is looking for a new team member to prepare products and materials for shipment and/ or warehousing.
- Prepares orders for shipping, which includes, but is not limited to, pulls and labels product, obtains weights, wraps, and bands consolidated product as required by the specific transportation method
- Verifies and maintains records of incoming and outgoing shipments
- Communicates effectively with internal customers as well as carriers in regards to the movement of products
- Obtains freight quotes based on the dimensions of products
- Labels all inbound and outbound products
- Determines the shipping method for materials using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Six months to one year of related work experience
- OR equivalent combination of education and experience
