Position Title Community Service Van Driver -- 10 Months (Grant-Funded) Position Summary
This is a full-time position (10 months) responsible for driving the Bonner Office of Community Service and Student Development (BOCSSD) van to locations where students are engaged in community service activities/meetings.
Incumbent will work 35 hours per week-11:00am - 7:00pm. Must have flexibility if the work hours vary slightly.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Provide daily (including weekends as needed) shuttle service for Spelman College students engaged in approved community service, travel safely and in a timely manner to their designated service sites and prompt return back to campus at the conclusion of their service activities.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required. Must possess and maintain a safe driving record.
The incumbent must be able to read travel directions. This position requires strong customer service focus and professional demeanor with the ability to interface with internal and external customers with diplomacy and tact.
Good oral communication skills are required when interacting with students or other constituents of the College. Must be able to carry out oral and written directions.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test.

Must have a current valid Georgia Driver's License.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to: walk, sit, talk, hear, and use hands to drive. The employee frequently is required to: stand. Specific vision abilities required by this job include ability to focus. Must be able to judge distances.
