What are the responsibilities and job description for the Physical Therapist position at Spencer Hospital?
Spencer Hospital’s Physical Therapists provide care at the hospital for both inpatients and outpatients and also provide outpatient therapy services at Rehab@The Clinic, located on the second floor of the Spencer Medical Arts Building, and at Milford Family Care and Sioux Rapids Family Care.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for delivering the highest quality therapy services to patients
- Organizes and conducts medically prescribed Physical Therapy programs to restore function and prevent disability following disease, injury, neurological impairment, diagnosed syndrome or developmental delays
- Additional responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, mentorship of students and/or staff, participation/coordination with committees, performance improvement, marketing, and program development
Requirements:
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school approved by CAPTE (or soon to be)
- Current PT license or ability to obtain in the state of Iowa
- Complete and maintain BLS certification and Basic Water Rescue certification (in-house education available upon hire)
Job Schedule:
- Benefit eligible - 72 or 80 hours a pay period salaried
- Must have flexibility to work the hours needed based on the needs of the department
- Typically Mon-Friday 8am-5pm
- Rotating holidays and weekends
- The schedule may fluctuate based upon the needs of the department
