Job Summary:
We are seeking a qualified and experienced Resident Project Representative (RPR) to provide on-site construction oversight for water and wastewater infrastructure projects in Central Florida. This role involves acting as a liaison between contractors and Toho Water Authority, ensuring that projects meet design specifications, quality standards, and timelines. The RPR will contribute to high-profile projects, including treatment plants, pipelines, reservoirs, and pump stations in one of Florida’s fastest-growing regions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide construction observation for water/wastewater facilities, including treatment plants, pipelines, lift stations, and pump systems.
- Ensure compliance with design specifications, quality standards, and contractual obligations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between contractors and Toho Water Authority, delivering timely reports and updates.
- Review contractor schedules, manage timelines, and oversee project execution.
- Conduct constructability reviews, negotiate change orders, and evaluate claims.
- Supervise work related to instrumentation and controls, with a focus on electrical systems.
- Collaborate with design consultants to ensure seamless implementation of project plans.
- Maintain consistency in construction management practices across assigned projects.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in construction management or observation of water/wastewater infrastructure projects.
- Strong understanding of pipelines, pump stations, and treatment plant systems.
- Proficiency in reviewing and managing contractor schedules, budgets, and change orders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or engineering degree.
- General Contractor’s License or equivalent experience.
- 10–15 years of trade experience (e.g., superintendent, foreman) may substitute for formal education.
Skills:
- Expertise in instrumentation and controls, particularly electrical systems.
