Drafting and Process Manager | Direct Hire | $80,000-$100,000/Yr

We are seeking a skilled manager with expertise in drafting, construction, and manufacturing processes to lead a high-performing team. This role emphasizes leadership, performance management, and process efficiency while leveraging drafting skills to support manufacturing and construction efforts. You will oversee scheduling, manage resources, and ensure timely and accurate shop drawing activities to drive project success and continuous improvement.

Hours and Pay

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead drafting and shop drawing processes to meet manufacturing and construction requirements.
• Utilize drafting expertise to create, review, and refine shop drawings as needed.
• Manage resources, including employee development and training programs.
• Oversee schedules to ensure timely delivery of shop drawings and manufacturing needs.
• Resolve discrepancies in drafting and manufacturing processes promptly.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize workflows and remove roadblocks.
• Implement performance metrics and continuous improvement strategies.

MUST HAVE:

• Experience in drafting, preferably in construction or manufacturing.
• Leadership experience with a focus on team performance and accountability.
• Proficiency in drafting software; familiarity with Procore software is a plus.
• Strong time management and organizational skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Hands-on experience with manufacturing and construction processes preferred.
• A proactive problem-solver with the ability to adapt to challenges.

NICE TO HAVE:

• Proficiency in Procore software
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles
• Experience in modular construction
• AutoCAD or similar software expertise
• Bachelor's degree in a related field
