THE CARE CENTER, INC.
Multiple Part-Time Positions available in our Washington, PA Location
OVERALL FUNCTION:
Provides clinical assessments as well as outpatient psychotherapy including, but not limited to, individual, family, and group sessions under the direct observation or close supervision of a trained counselor, lead therapist of clinical supervisor. Assignment of a full caseload shall be contingent upon the supervisor’s positive assessment of the counselor assistant’s individual skill level.
- Conducts assessment and diagnostic services to develop a comprehensive treatment plan and related treatment recommendations.
- Develops and implements individualized treatment plans (under the supervision and guidance of a counselor, lead therapist or clinical supervisor), using but not limited to individual, group and family methodologies.
- Participates in treatment team meetings with all levels of psychiatric and clinical staff, both individually and in group supervision.
- Prepares, maintains, and submits all assigned case records, charts, reports, forms and other required documentation in a professional and timely manner.
- Initiates appropriate Intra and Inter Agency contact to facilitate the care of the individuals that are served.
- Other duties as required
- Adheres to all policies, laws, regulations and codes of ethics and confidentiality as outlined by federal and state laws, and agency policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Master’s or bachelor’s degree in human services, licensure in the Commonwealth as a registered nurse, associate degree in human services, a high school diploma or GED equivalent in accordance with the Department of Drug & Alcohol Program (DDAP) regulations.
- Demonstrated ability or willingness to obtain credential of Certified Addiction Counselor and/or status of Counselor
- Assigned a full caseload based upon the supervisor’s positive assessment of the individual skill level and continued under observation of supervision of a trained counselor or clinical supervisor.
- Demonstrated ability to obtain vital information during a personal interview to make proper recommendations.
- Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal staff, providers, and other social service agencies.
- Must not be excluded from participation in Medicare, Medicaid, or any other federal health care program.
- Must successfully obtain Criminal History Clearance from the Pennsylvania State Police
