The Content Team Lead is responsible for creating, managing, and executing content strategies to support the companys marketing, training, and internal communication initiatives. This role is critical in positioning the company as an industry thought leader, enabling sales and customers, supporting training and cultivating a strong internal culture. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator with experience in industrial marketing, able to produce both written and visual content while effectively managing projects and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs). Reporting to the CMO, this role involves close collaboration with the CEO on internal culture initiatives, close coordination and support training initiatives and requires a high degree of quality, timeliness, and adherence to budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Communications: Lift Up Social Media and Training Content Creation:
- Social and Content Strategy & Calendar: Develop and manage the content calendar that aligns with training, marketing and sales goals, product launches, and thought leadership initiatives. Plan, create, and manage content across social platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram) with a focus on promoting the company culture and industry leadership.
- Assist and Support Technical Writing: draft, coordinate with SME (subject matter experts) and oversee the creation of high-quality technical content, including white papers, case studies, blog posts, and internal training materials.
Internal Communication:
- Internal Communications & Culture: Collaborate with the CEO, HR, and culture committees to develop and manage internal communications and culture-focused content, including internal social media (TV screens, newsletters, etc.).
- Sales Enablement Content: Partner with our agency and sales teams to create supporting materials such as training guides, product sheets, and pitch decks to drive technical sales success.
- Culture, Safety and Quality communications: Manage content distribution across multiple platforms, including internal and external channels, web, social media, email campaigns, and industry publications. Identify KPIs and measure and adjust quarterly.
Content Creation & Project Management:
- Video Production for Training, Marketing, and Social Media
- You will plan, shoot, and edit videos covering product demos, technical tutorials, employee highlights, and company culture. This role empowers you to drive video storytelling that aligns with our brand values and enhances engagement across internal and external audiences.
- Graphic Design for Internal Communication Materials
- Youll take charge of designing branded visuals for presentations, digital signage, training materials, and other internal documents, actively shaping the organizations visual identity.
- Photography for Marketing and Culture
- Youll capture high-quality images for both internal and external use, covering product documentation, team events, and marketing collateral, making an immediate impact on our visual brand. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the training, sales, and communications departments to ensure the seamless creation and execution of content that supports key business objectives.
- Vendor and Agency coordination with external content creators, freelancers, and agencies to ensure timely delivery of content that aligns with brand standards.
- Meetings & Reporting: Attend regular meetings with sales, training, and external marketing partners to gather insights and report on content-related KPIs and projects.
- Weekly Reporting: Provide a detailed weekly report to the CMO summarizing ongoing projects, priorities, KPIs, and any challenges requiring resolution.
Measurement and Optimization:
- KPI Tracking: Develop, monitor, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of content initiatives, including engagement, lead generation, and social media performance.
- Content Analytics: Implement best practices to drive organic traffic and continuously analyze content performance for improvement.
Event and Support Functions:
- Event Content Support: Assist with the content and logistical needs for trade shows, seminars, and company wide meetings, including event branding and booth materials.
- Internal Training: Develop and update content for internal employee training and onboarding programs in collaboration with the Training Coordinator.
Executive Marketing Support:
- CMO Support: Provide executive-level support to the CMO, assisting with the coordination and execution of marketing and content-related tasks, including preparing materials for the CMOs executive meetings.
- Strategic Initiative Coordination: Ensure that the strategic initiatives led by the CMO are carried out on time and within budget by coordinating all necessary content production efforts.
Qualifications:
- Writing Expertise: Exceptional technical writing and editing skills with the ability to convey complex concepts clearly and effectively for a technical audience.
- Experience in B2B Industrial Marketing: 4-5 years of experience in B2B content creation, marketing, or communications, preferably in manufacturing, energy, or automation sectors.
- Content Management Skills: Proven ability to create, manage, and execute multi-channel content strategies that drive engagement and brand awareness.
- SEO and Social Media Proficiency: Strong knowledge of SEO, content optimization, and social media best practices for industrial B2B audiences.
- Project Management Skills: Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and deliverables effectively.
- Collaboration & Communication: Excellent communication skills with experience working cross-functionally with sales, training, and marketing teams.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Creative Suite tools (Photoshop, Illustrator) and basic video editing.
- Experience in managing PR activities and maintaining media relationships.
- Knowledge of marketing automation platforms such as HubSpot, Marketo, or similar.
- Familiarity with AI tools to enhance content creation and marketing efficiency.
