What are the responsibilities and job description for the Account Receivable Cash Applications Associate position at Sprague?
The AR Cash Application Associate will perform standard and advanced cash application duties which may include lockbox receipts, branch deposits, wire transfer receipts, report analysis for EFT transactions, investigating bank errors and special projects as needed. May provide support to one or more managers.
Major Duties / Responsibilities
- Responsible for recording receipts and processing EFT transactions.
- Ensure timely and accurate posting of receipts, journal entries and adjustments.
- Review daily bank reports and verify accuracy of electronic receipts.
- Review, investigate and resolve unapplied receipts.
- Review, reconcile and post EDI activity.
- Log and process remote deposits.
- Other duties as required.
Education/ Experience /Skill Requirements
- Associate degree in accounting or related field and/or 2-4 years accounting, financial and/or cash application experience preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and JD Edwards or similar ERP or Accounting Systems is highly desirable.
- Experience with Microsoft Teams and Smartsheet preferred.
- Experience with treasury, banking, and online cash management platforms helpful.
- Detail oriented with aptitude for numbers and problem solving.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize workload, perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment and interact positively with customers, vendors and team members.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Ability to operate basic office equipment and basic knowledge of ergonomic principles.
