Position Overview:

We are seeking a Experienced Cook with high-end culinary experience to prepare gourmet meals that meet the nutritional needs of our residents while delighting their palates. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our culinary team to craft elegant dishes that reflect the highest standards of quality, presentation, and taste. The ideal candidate will possess extensive culinary expertise, strong attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service in a luxury senior living environment.

Key Responsibilities for Cook:

  • Gourmet Meal Preparation: Prepare and cook high-quality meals that adhere to residents' dietary preferences and restrictions, ensuring that each dish is flavorful, nutritious, and beautifully presented.
  • Precision and Quality: Consistently follow standardized recipes and menus, applying your advanced culinary skills to elevate each dish. Ensure that all meals are served at the correct temperature and with impeccable presentation.
  • Sanitation and Food Safety: Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety in all kitchen operations. Adhere to all local, state, and federal health regulations to ensure the safety and well-being of our residents.
  • Menu Adherence and Customization: Follow written daily menus while accommodating special dietary requests or therapeutic diets. Demonstrate flexibility and creativity in adapting meals to meet resident needs without compromising on quality.
  • Collaborative Kitchen Leadership: Work in close coordination with other culinary staff, kitchen management, and food service teams to ensure efficient meal service and timely delivery. Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment.
  • Quality Control and Assurance: Participate in maintaining quality control standards, ensuring that every dish meets Spring Hills’ luxury dining standards. Monitor food quality throughout meal preparation, cooking, and plating processes.

  • Refined Culinary Expertise: Strong experience in high-end, fine-dining kitchens (e.g., 5-star restaurants, luxury hotels, or private clubs), with a deep understanding of advanced cooking techniques and the ability to create gourmet meals.

  • Attention to Detail: Impeccable attention to detail in food preparation, plating, and presentation, ensuring every dish meets the highest standards of quality.

Experience and Education Requirements:

  • Required: High School Diploma or GED; Culinary degree or equivalent formal culinary training preferred.
  • Required: A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a high-end culinary role (5-star restaurant, luxury hotel, private club, etc.).
  • In-depth knowledge of food safety, handling, and sanitation practices. Food handling certification may be required.
  • Preferred: Experience with dietary restrictions and therapeutic cooking for senior residents.
