FULL TIME PATROL OFFICER

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Patrol Officer to join our security team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining safety and security within assigned areas. This position requires a proactive approach to monitoring premises, responding to incidents, and ensuring compliance with safety protocols. The Patrol Officer will utilize various skills, including surveillance techniques and conflict management, to effectively manage situations that may arise.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
• Monitor surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems, to identify potential security threats.
• Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or incidents and take appropriate action as necessary.
• Enforce laws and regulations while maintaining a visible presence to promote safety within the community.
• Document incidents and prepare reports detailing observations and actions taken during patrols.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary to ensure a coordinated response to security issues.
• Provide assistance in conflict management situations, utilizing de-escalation techniques when appropriate.
• Maintain knowledge of loss prevention strategies to minimize theft or damage within the area of responsibility.

Requirements

• Certification in First Aid and CPR is preferred; additional training in conflict management is a plus.
• Experience in law enforcement or security roles is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with surveillance systems, including CCTV operation and monitoring techniques.
• Strong observational skills with the ability to remain alert and focused during shifts.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in high-pressure situations.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with the public and team members.
• A background in militarized training is advantageous but not mandatory.

Job description

This is a full time patrol officer position located in Springfield Twp. in Summit County, Ohio. We are looking to fill the position right away. Responsibilities:
- Enforce laws and regulations to maintain public safety and order
- Patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect criminal activity
- Respond to emergency calls, accidents, and incidents
- Conduct investigations, gather evidence, and interview witnesses
- Arrest and process suspects according to legal procedures
- Write detailed reports and maintain accurate records
- Provide assistance and support to victims of crime or emergencies
- Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies and professionals

Experience:
- Previous experience in law enforcement or related field preferred
- Knowledge of criminal justice system and laws
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and make quick decisions in high-pressure situations
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
