As a vital member of our sales department, you’ll play a key role in supporting the team, managing client relationships, maintaining data and systems, building contracts and ensuring a seamless guest experience. This is a full-time opportunity and requires full availability. Typical shifts are Monday-Friday mornings to afternoons. Event coverage is occasionally needed at night, weekends and holidays. Prior hospitality experience is required.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the job include but are not limited to:
- Assisting Catering and Event Management, Convention Services and Catering Manager with day to day office needs
- Providing phone coverage and assist with incoming Sales inquiries
- Distributing faxes and other communication to appropriate areas
- Creating files and miscellaneous filing of files, papers, checks, electronic communication, etc.
- Creating Sales/Catering menu kits and restocking supply area as appropriate
- Controlling office supplies when necessary
- Creating and distributing department information as appropriate (Banquet Event Orders, Catering information, etc.)
- Coordinating maintenance of office equipment
- Perform client billing
- Creating contracts and correspondence as director by each manager
- Create and distribute report as assigned for review by managers
- Deliver DKN’s "Home Away From Home" experience
- Capturing all Sales information in the Reservation PMS systems
- Setup/Breakdown of meeting rooms, event spaces including some food handling.
- Physically assist with Front Desk coverage for breaks, lunches and high-volume periods with guest assistance, check-ins, check-outs, gift shop sales and reservations.
- Answer hotel phone calls for Sales and Front Desk assistance
- Perform Site tours as directed by the Sales Manager or the GM

Only within the guidelines established by management and to the extent of operating within the Company policies and procedures
Working Conditions/Environment:
Office area. Access to entire interior and exterior of property.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED and a minimum of 1 year experience in Hospitality sales.
Skills/Abilities/Other Requirements:
Ability to effectively communicate in English with guests/visitors, management and fellow team members to their understanding. Professional and friendly demeanor with a positive attitude, ability to multi-task in a high-profile, high-traffic environment, ability to read, comprehend and write simple instructions and/or short correspondence and memos, clear, concise written and verbal communication skills, working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
Physical Requirements:
Frequent standing, sitting, walking and climbing stairs. Repetitive bending, stooping, reaching, twisting, pushing, pulling, lifting and carrying. Reaching above, at and below shoulder level. Lifting and carrying and pushing, unassisted up to 25 lbs.

Pay: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour
