Titan Hotel Group, a growing hotel management company, is currently seeking qualified candidates to fill the position of Director of Sales for the SpringHill Suites by Marriott Jacksonville Baymeadows.
Position Summary:
This individual is responsible for selling the total hotel through active participation in the direct sales efforts of rooms and catering. The Director of Sales is also expected to have constant involvement with guests and employees, as well as participate in community activities. This is a position requiring active, vigorous selling and foresight.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for overall account management, business generation, and sales prospecting for assigned hotel property.
- Responds to all sales inquiries in a timely manner and with a sense of urgency.
- Develops and maintains marketing plan and sales budget with the Vice President of Sales & Marketing.
- Participates in Revenue Management strategies using such tools as Star reports, demand analysis and applicable front office systems.
- Conducts a required number of sales activities including telemarketing, cold calls, e-mailing and prospecting.
- Manage existing and new client relationships, support revenue management efforts and work with all hotel departments to deliver a positive experience for the guests and groups.
- Responsible for completing sales functions of the assigned hotel including soliciting accounts to meet or exceed hotel revenue goals.
- Organizes, maintains, and tracks sales data.
- Completes requests of General Manager and other management personnel, as applicable.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
- Experience with FOSSE, MARSHA and STS preferred.
- Ability to interpret and perform basic computer functions, including MS Office, Outlook, Word, and Excel. Experience with STS is preferred.
- Current and former Directors of Sales, Sales Managers, Coordinators and Catering Managers are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Proficiency in Revenue Management strategies.
