JOB DESCRIPTION: LOAN OPERATIONS ASSISTANT MANAGER
DEPARTMENT: Loan
CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt
REPORTS TO: Loan Operations Manager
SUPERVISES: No Direct Supervisory Responsibility
JOB SUMMARY: Is responsible for assisting Loan Operations Manager with coordination of all activities and personnel in the Loan Operations Department, with particular emphasis on workflow to meet deadlines. Helps to guide staff to be compliant in all loan related matters.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists in overseeing and directing loan operations (consumer, commercial, & FSA/USDA/SBA) and helps to assist loan operations staff.
- System Administrator for E-Oscar, Lereta, VanWagenen, Fiserv Premier Loan System, & CDIA.
- Manages Loan Specifications with Fiserv Premier with all Loan related items.
- Effectively prioritizes departmental workloads and projects to best accommodate the efficiency of the department. Helps to monitor production of department while minimizing overtime.
- Provides leadership in the most complex documentation issues, balancing, department, and consumer challenges.
- Assists with Appraisal Valuations/Validations.
- Assists with Special Assets/Bankruptcy.
- Helps to guide staff to be compliant in all loan related matters. Ensures all regulations and loan policies are being adhered to.
- Responsible for the processing and administration of loans in all of the following areas: consumer, mortgage, and commercial loans.
- Provides administrative assistance to the loan officers and staff, including processing loan payments, inputting and updating loan data in the system, and maintaining loan records and files (paper and electronic).
- Responsible for updating quality management procedures as it pertains to Loan Operations.
- Leads the Bank with credit disputes and other credit related issues.
- Provides assistance with loan policy, procedures, and works with management on audit and compliance issues/findings.
- Answers customer questions and resolves routine problems.
- Actively participates in establishing individual sales, referral, operational, and community involvement goals.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Undergraduate or Associates degree in finance, accounting, or business management.
- Five to seven years of experience in a financial institution or lending office setting.
- Knowledge of loan compliance.
- Knowledge of loan policies, procedures, and loan documentation for all types of loans.
- Knowledge of general banking practices.
- Supervisory experience, preferred.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Fluency in computer applications and Microsoft Office Environment.
