What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intern, Applied Physics position at SRI?
SRI’s Advanced Technology & Systems Division (ATSD) is known for work in intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance. We’re at the leading edge of human-machine interaction, sensing, and other applied technologies that are turning data into usable knowledge. SRI also leads the government-supported Quantum Economic Development Consortium, an initiative designed to grow and advance the quickly evolving quantum industry.
ATSD's Applied Physics group has an opprtunity for an intern to work with their team on-site in SRI's Boulder, CO office. The intern will support projects ranging from tabletop-based experiments for precision measurement to machine learning applications. In particular, the projects may include contributing to laser and optics alignment, photonic integrated circuit layouts, vacuum systems, working with machine learning, or data acquisition. The internship will involve working closely with SRI scientists, providing hands-on exposure to state-of-the-art techniques in applied physics and engineering. At the end of the internship the intern will give a final project presentation to the group.
Responsibilities
