ICU / PCU RN position at St Alexius Health Bismarck Medical Center
Contract length : 13 weeks
Profile review and manager interview required
Department : ICU / PCU RN
Common diagnoses include CABG, carotids, VATs, cardiovascular issues, STEMIs, sepsis, and more.
Job Requirements
BLS certification required
ACLS certification required
Experience with IABP, Impella, prismaflex, ventilators, and arctic sun preferred
RNs must be willing to take PCU assignments
RNs required to titrate critical care drips
Schedule Information
Shifts : 7a-7p, 7p-7a
Manager to make schedule, blocks considered if unit needs are met
Weekend requirements : Every other
Holiday requirements : Every other
Floating requirements : All areas as helping hands, including MS Tele for PCU patients
Unit Specific Information
of Beds : 15
Nurse : Patient Ratios : ICU 1 : 1 : 2, PCU 1 : 3
Intensivist MD in house 24 / 7
RT in ICU 24 / 7
RNs required to read and interpret their own strips
Additional Details
No call or standby requirement
2-12 hour shifts for unit / department specific orientation
Radius Rule : 50 miles
RTO needed upfront (7 or less days per 13 week contract)
