Position Purpose:
- To assist in delivering holistic patient care from late childhood through geriatric patients under the supervision of a licensed professional in order to promote optimal outcomes.
- Duties include set up, cleaning and maintenance of equipment; tracking inventory supplies and monitoring patients and responses.
- In addition, provides clerical support to the department.
Essential Functions:
- Assists therapists with patient treatment and participants in the delivery of restorative services including wound care, ambulation, transferring, and self-feeding. Assists patients with pre-treatment and post treatment to include draping, positioning, transporting and personal care needs.
- Assesses inventory levels of medical/therapy supplies to maintain adequate stock including ordering and preparing treatment areas with appropriate supplies.
- Ensures all supplies and equipment is organized, clean and disinfected in accordance with infection control standards.
- Provides translation services for patients and therapist as needed.
General Job requirements:
- Comprehension of both English and Spanish with the ability to translate in a medical treatment setting
- Proven clerical abilities including typing and data entry
- Understanding of medical terminology through training or experience
- Training as a Certified Nursing Assistant ideal
- CPR certification upon hire or within 3 months of employment.
